I've used black hair dyes and there's definitely a difference between jet black and this shade - this shade gives a softer dark dark brown/black shade. Guess what I got with this color.....JET BLACK! My hair was so black it was almost purple! Just like the other reviewer, it got everywhere in my shower and tub. Not a huge deal, but it was still messy. If you want to go darker but not black, pick a shade or two lighter than this because it is so much easier to make your hair darker, than it is to lighten it. I ended up bleaching my hair after this and it's still not the same. I wish I had read them before trying this on my hair. I'm happy with Clairol in general and have been using its other colors regularly. In this particular case though, its completely misleading. I wish Clairol would just discontinue this shade or relabel it. |
