From what I have read on line and seen on youtube as a review for this product, I was lead to believe this product worked extremely well and in a fast amount of time. Unfortunately after using this product on my poison ivy, I discovered it was not as good as I would have expected. It did help prevent the poison ivy from getting worse and acted as an antiseptic to help prevent the poison ivy from getting infected. But the gel did not heal the poison ivy as described. You are much better off going to your doctor's office and getting a prescription for a cream with steroids in it. My dad told me about this stuff - his whole arm was covered with poison ivy, oozing and painful. He put it on, and it worked overnight - itching stopped, healing started. It works by neutralizing the urushiol oil that causes Poison Ivy. Amazing stuff. I keep a 2 oz bottle on the shelf all summer, just in case. |
